- 500 SONGS FOR KIDS is a 10-day live music marathon running from April 28th to May 7th, 2011. 500 DIFFERENT Artists will perform a countdown of the 500 GREATEST FEEL GOOD SONGS OF ALL TIME in the largest musician involved charity event in Georgia. - We are all saddened by the devastation and loss of life and property suffered by many citizens of Ringgold and Northwest Georgia. Davin McCoy, Jimmy Hall of Wet Willie, and other guests will be Rockin' For Ringgold at Wayfarer Music Hall in Monroe to collect money and items for this devastated area and its citizens. A portion of the proceeds will donated to the Catoosa County Sheriff's office and the Red Cross. We will be accepting donated items and checks made payable to the Red Cross Northwest Georgia Chapter to be personally delivered by Terry Reeves of Music Matters Entertainment to the Catoosa County Sheriff on Monday, May 16, 2011. We hope you'll oin us for this very special evening of fellowship, music and giving back to our brothers and sisters in need.
Wayfarer Music Hall is a step back in time to the vintage music venues of the past. Listen to live shows in one of the best venues in GA.
Davin McCoy & The Coming Attractions will begin the evening on May 14 at 9:00 p.m. with a set, and they'll be joined on the second set by the one and only Jimmy Hall, lead singer and founder of Wet Willie. Jimmy continues to tour with his band, with Wet Willie and as a special guest with others, including Tab Benoit, The Allman Brothers Band, Lousiana's LaRoux, Pop and Rock Masters, and many more.
Tickets are ONLY $10 and available at the venue. The last time these two great musicians performed at Wayfarer it was a packed house! Arrive early for a good seat and bring a friend or two, as well as your dancin' shoes. It's sure to be a great time and all for a GREAT CAUSE!
